The SJ Grand Wagoneer was the last of the SJ models to use the original body design, which was introduced in 1962. It continued the SJ Limited nameplate, with its iconic wood-grained side and rear panels. High demand allowed production to continue alongside the new XJ Cherokee and XJ Wagoneer models, which were introduced in 1984.
