DJ-3A

DJ Jeeps were referred to as Dispatcher jeeps, hence the ‘D’ in the prefix. The ‘3A’ suffix corresponds to the CJ-3A, which was the base model for the DJ-3A. The DJ-3A was the first 2-wheel drive jeep, which was less expensive than its 4-wheel drive cousins, and it was marketed as a recreational vehicle. DJ Jeeps came with various top options, including steel hard tops, canvas soft tops (DJ-3A), full-steel cabs (DJ-3A Dispatcher), and soft canopies (DJ-3A Surrey).
