DJ-3A

DJ Jeeps were referred to as Dispatcher jeeps, hence the ‘D’ in the prefix. The ‘3A’ suffix corresponds to the CJ-3A, which was the base model for the DJ-3A. The DJ-3A was the first 2-wheel drive jeep, which was less expensive than its 4-wheel drive cousins, and it was marketed as a recreational vehicle. The Surrey Jeep was a special trim package for the DJ-3A Dispatcher. It was marketed as a leisure vehicle for hotels and resorts, and came in one of three eye-catching pastel colors (pink, blue and green) with white trim. The color pallette was accented with striping on the canvas top and seats.
